Fishing Hervey Bay & the Capricorn Coast
Hervey Bay has just about the perfect climate in winter – the nights are cool, and the daytime temperatures average in the mid twenties with clear sunny skies.
If you live in the southern states it’s a good time to visit and escape the cold, and enjoy the very relaxed lifestyle we enjoy here.
Fresh seafood like Blue Swimmer(sand) crabs and tiger squid are just part of the experience, and of course there’s some exceptional fishing for winter species such as snapper as well.
While my focus is guiding in Hervey Bay, I will be offering extended road trips in future. These packages will include guiding travel between destinations in my new Ford Ranger comfortable accommodation and all meals – so all the hard work is done, just turn up! You don’t even need to pack fishing gear for this adventure!
This is a chance for keen anglers to experience some of my personal favourite locations between (and including) Hervey Bay and the Whitsunday Coast. Species including Barramundi, Threadfin Salmon, Mangrove Jacks, Queenfish, GTs, Permit, Golden Trevally and Saratoga will be targeted.
Some of these locations have been well kept secrets, and we are already getting bookings for these trips tailored to suit flats, estuary, inshore and freshwater anglers in locations that consistently produce fish of a lifetime captures.
Pick-ups and drop off to airports can be arranged in Hervey Bay, Rockhampton and Proserpine.
Good food, comfortable accommodation and some spectacular locations will make these trips an opportunity not to be missed!
