There’s a myriad of coastal waters, brimming with the many pelagic and flats species and it’s all so accessible that even the small boat angler can get in on some serious piscatorial action. We’ve spent countless hours exploring the pelagic and coastal flats scene here, and we’ve got it pretty well wired.
So if the idea of fishing for pelagics or hunting the flats from a small boat with fly or spin tackle gets you going, you’re in the right place. There are no shortage of tropical islands, azure bays, quiet inlets and open coastal areas to explore. And all can provide spectacular fishing.
This fishing is pretty exciting stuff and its all about sight casting in crystal clear waters as voracious predators churn the surface into a froth or dropping an offering in front of fast moving targets as they patrol flats. It’s about savage strikes, line burning runs, sore biceps and the kind of photos that make the boys at work green with envy.
There’s nothing better!
PLEASE NOTE! Our vessel is 5.5m and so calm seas are required to make your day travelling to the coastal flats and blue water enjoyable. If weather is unfavourable, there are a few options:
- Postpone the trip to a later date.
- Consider a day trip chasing southern saratoga on topwater lure or fly (May to December)
- Consider a day trip chasing barra and/or king threadfin. If you like this as the back up option, please check availability for this type of charter first as the tides are important in delivering you results!
FULL DAY CHARTER (minimum 8 hours): This includes pick up from accommodation, lunch, snacks and drinks as well as all fishing equipment.
We offer a personalised charter where it is only your party on the boat, we do do split bookings or add other people to make up numbers. If you book as a single angler, it will be one on one with our excellent guide, Nathan Johnston
