John Haenke is now offering fishing road trips, for those who want to fish some of his favourite locations, and see a bit more of Queensland at the same time.
Fly into Hervey Bay where you will be picked up at the airport and taken to John and Petas’ beachfront home, where you can relax, unwind and get a chance to have a nice meal featuring local produce… and talk fishing of course!
Enjoy a day or two… or three, fishing the Hervey Bay area, which has a good range of fishing options year round. From Saltwater, inshore, estuary and freshwater for a range of species including:
• Barramundi
• Longtail Tuna
• Threadfin Salmon
• Trevally
• Mackerel
• Australian Bass
Pack your bags, throw them in the back of the Ranger, hitch up the TABS and then we’re off on our road trip – first stop Seventeen Seventy, and then onto the Capricorn Coast region, the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef.
1770, the Capricorn Coast, Fitzroy River and its freshwater tributaries, provide plenty of options for saltwater, flats fishing, inshore, estuary and freshwater for a range of species including:
• Barramundi
• Threadfin Salmon
• Permit
• Golden Trevally
• Giant Trevally
• Queenfish
• Saratoga
These trips are a 5 day minimum, and will be tailored to include and focus on the style of fishing and species YOU want.
